Hi i'm JoLynn
If you’re planning a wedding in Ohio and want something that feels truly luxurious, Brick and Mortar in Columbus should be on your radar. I recently had the opportunity to design stationery for a styled shoot at this stunning venue. Getting to design for a space like this was such a pleasure. Rich velvet draping, warm candlelight, exposed brick, and a crystal chandelier overhead…everything was absolutely stunning. From the invitation suite to the romantic details, here’s a look at how this beautiful wedding came together.

Your invitation suite is the very first impression your guests have of your wedding. It sets the tone for everything that follows. For this wedding, I pulled inspiration from the bride’s stunning cathedral veil from White Bridal Boutiques. That intricate lace became the foundation of the entire suite!

The invitation card featured a delicate lace pattern printed across the entire surface. It was a direct reflection of what the bride would wear on her wedding day. Deep purple script and a classic serif font added to the romance. For the envelopes, I chose a purple lace-patterned liner. Imagine the look on your guests’ faces when they open your envelopes and find such a beautiful design!
I carried that lace pattern through every card in the suite. The RSVP and details cards matched the invitation perfectly, pulling the whole suite together.

The invitation suite was just the beginning. I also designed an oval die-cut menu card with the same lace pattern and deep purple text. It brought a romantic feeling to every place setting and added to the overall design.

Brick and Mortar Columbus has exposed brick walls, dark hardwood floors, and industrial beams that give it a raw, textured feel. What makes it even better is that it can host both your ceremony and reception in the same space. For this styled shoot, Serendipity Designs created a stunning ceremony backdrop with floor-to-ceiling chocolate brown velvet draping. After the ceremony, the space transitioned seamlessly into an intimate reception, velvet draping and all.

The reception tablescape was breathtaking. Chocolate brown velvet linens pooled dramatically onto the black mirrored floor. Pillar candles, taper candles, and small table lamps created a warm, intimate glow throughout the room. Vintage-style plates with delicate floral details and gold flatware completed each place setting.
Red and blush roses were clustered at the ends of the tables and along the aisle. They added a romantic contrast to the industrial elements.
