Hi i'm JoLynn
The Wellspring works the way an art gallery does: bright white walls and endless natural light, ready to make whatever design choices you bring in the star of the show. The magic of the venue? Any color palette you choose gets to shine.
This summer wedding fully leaned into that. A coral, peach, and pink palette transformed the venue into a whimsical garden party. Today I’m showing you what can happen when you take a stunning modern venue like The Wellspring and embrace vibrant colors and textures.

If you’re looking for wedding venues near Wooster, let me introduce you to one of my favorites. The Wellspring is a modern venue that sits on fifteen acres in Northeast Ohio, surrounded by a forest, creek, and pond. They put it best: it’s a marriage of “rural, rustic outdoor scenery with modern, light-filled architecture.”
What makes The Wellspring really special is the light. The interiors are white and lined with windows, which means they work as a blank canvas for whatever style you can imagine.
Neutral tones look beautiful here, but color truly comes alive against the white backdrop. And that’s exactly what we leaned into for this summer wedding.
This wedding’s vibrant summer palette didn’t start at the ceremony. It started in the mail, with the invitations.
Your wedding invitations are the first glimpse your guests get of your big day. That means they’re the perfect place to introduce your color palette.
For this wedding, I started with whimsical watercolor florals in shades of pink. That pink palette, combined with a letterpress line art illustration of The Wellspring, fully prepared guests for the day to come!
That’s the power of setting the tone with your stationery. When your invitations introduce your colors early, your whole wedding feels like one cohesive story.

Incorporating a venue illustration is one of my favorite ways to personalize your invitations. It both excites your guests and serves as a beautiful heirloom for you and your partner to look back on.
The colors that started out on paper filled the venue on the big day.
Revery Rentals brought the palette to life with whimsical floral designs, starting in the chapel for the ceremony. Shades of pink, peach, and coral looked stunning against the white walls. That’s the trick to a bright venue: color does the heavy lifting for you.

After the ceremony, guests moved into the main reception hall. It’s a space that is very similar to the chapel, but with a twist: large glass doors. These doors open out onto a patio when the weather is nice, so you can seamlessly blend the indoors and outdoors.
Inside, the summer palette continued across the tables. To tie in the invitation design, I created menus with the same fonts and watercolor floral artwork. Elegant place cards with floral wax seals welcomed each guest to their seat.
Repeating specific elements like artwork and fonts (not just the colors) is what makes your wedding details feel cohesive rather than pieced together. Take a look at how it all came together!

The summer evening was gorgeous, so guests could move out onto the patio to enjoy cocktails from L.O.C.K. Mobile Bar Co. This would also be a great space for a food or ice cream truck!
